Gene-BeckieEugene Tripp was born in La Mesa, California on September 30, 1960. The youngest of four brothers, Gene grew up in an agricultural community located in San Diego. He worked on an AA Degree and a Certificate in Human Services at Riverside Community College/Moreno Valley. In June of 2014, Gene received his certificate in “Human Services” from Moreno Valley Collage, (RCC)

Gene met, married his wife, formally Rebecca Lynn Gerstel in 1983. Their daughter, Jessica Rebecca is married and she and her husband Brandon Steven Hosang have two children, Amira Carolynn and Anita Olivia

After their marriage, Gene and Beckie came to a crossroads due to the continual influence the Church of Christ had on their lives. Their daughter Jessica was going to the Church of Christ Moreno Valley on the Joy Bus with Al Nicks. Often Dahlia Money would pick Jessica up for services.

In 1993, Gene and Beckie started attending Wednesday night Bible classes. Their exposure to the Church was enhanced by the loving reception and introduction to the Church they received from Dale Wells, Harold Ellington, Michael Wright, Rudy Perez, Byron Isaac, Al Nicks, and Jeanette Snapp, and others. In September 1993, Gene and Beckie were added to the Body of Christ at the Church of Christ Moreno Valley.

Gene served as a deacon of the Church of Christ Moreno Valley from 2002-2005. Currently Gene is one of the elders at the Church of Christ Moreno Valley.

Gene other attributes: overseeing the Prayer Ministry, Prison Ministry, Drug and Alcohol Ministry, coordinating the 1st Wednesday night Bible studies; preparing others to teach, Finance and Evangelism Committee member, sound and video assistance, and teaching Children’s Church. Gene also does volunteer work as chairperson
