My goal is to provide a strong and clear biblical foundation for our youth within the congregation. I will be working with Cory Jackson the new Youth Minister. I grew up in the City of Riverside graduated from Riverside Poly High School in 1968 and I still like in the same school district. As a teenager I was a member of the Riverside NAACP Youth group where I held several offices that included the NAACP Southern Area Conference President and severed as the Southern Area Conference representative to the NAACP National Youth Work Committee.
As a young adult I was involved in community based activities, worked for the City of Riverside Park and Recreation department for fifteen plus years working with seniors and youth at several city parks. I worked for a food processing company here in Riverside over forty years until my retirement in 2013.
May 2014 I was recognized by the Riverside African American Historical Society and received the Unsung Heroes/Pacesetter Award for my efforts in the Riverside Community. I met my wife to be; at the Bobby Bonds Sport Complex who introduced me to the Church of Christ shortly thereafter I was baptized and became a full time member. We were married in 2008 sharing a blended family.
